Resources For Avoiding Scams In Idaho

Reports have been made of several different scams circulating the Madison County area in Idaho. Though no one has lost any money, the police department keeps getting calls reporting scams. Resources like Law Enforcement officials are alerting the public to three different scams. In each one of these scams a signed check for $400,000 was involved. Police noted a couple of signs that warn of fraud; the check comes with a letter that claims the recipient has won something they hadn't heard of or applied for, or the letter asks the recipient to wire monetary resources to the sender, claiming the money is for taxes or customs fees.
