But for many of us, we simply refer to it as the digestive tract or the digestive system. The digestive system is a system in the body that aids the process of digestion. The digestion process starts in the mouth when the mouth is chewed, until the food goes down and becomes processed by the esophagus and the intestines. If truth be told, this system is quite influential in the stature of our weight as well as in the state of our health and well-being. True enough; an unhealthy and malfunctioning digestive system is the root cause of several ailments.
