Nowadays using flash photography is easy one push of a button and most cameras do everything for you. It was not always so easy. Flash is needed for example to take photos in dark scenes or to get rid of shades in fill in mode. We will look at general attributes of flash units and the Canon Speedlite 580Ex in particular.

As a photographer I can definitely appreciate and enjoy other people's work when it comes to any kind of art; not just photography. Recently I was searching online for some photography communities that I could get involved in and I found a few really interesting one's. These aren't regular image sites like that of Image Shack or Photo Bucket, but real communities where people can take their photos and post them online to share with other people.

The Nikon D90 digital SLR camera is one of those unsung heroes of the digital photography community. This is pretty surprising, considering the fact that its results can compete with more professional cameras like the D300, also by Nikon.
